Three arrested for getting 12-year-old drunk

After a mother found her 12-year-old daughter drunk on a friend's apartment floor, three adults accused of getting her drunk were arrested on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The incident occurred in Evans Tuesday, when the 12-year-old girl went to the apartment of Sarah Nicole Wrede, 23, Herbert Eala, 56, and Gilbert Snedigar, 57, in Garden City. Evans Police Sgt. Chad Harding said the three adults are accused of giving the girl alcohol and possibly marijuana.

Later, the girl went to another apartment, and that resident contacted the girl's mother, who found the girl lying on the floor of the apartment. She was conscious, but her blood-alcohol content may have reached .20 at one time, Sgt. Harding said. That would be four times the blood alcohol level for impaired driving.

The girl was treated at North Colorado Medical Center, and after police questioned her, they learned where she'd been drinking.

Later, police went to the apartment and arrested the three adults.

No charges have been filed against the 12-year-old girl.
