David "Cheetah" Guerrero, 76, of Fort Collins, died May 2 at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Mr. Guerrero was born Dec. 29, 1931 in Fort Collins to Jesus Guerrero and Maria Martinez Guerrero. Cheetah lived all his life in Fort Collins. He had various construction jobs and was a janitor at Holy Family Catholic Church, a member of Holy Family and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his former wife, Marilyn Barnett Guerrero; a son, Paul Sanchez and his wife, Maria of Fort Collins; a stepson, David Sanchez of Fort Collins; nine brothers and sisters, Manuel Mesa, Elmer Amelio Guerrero, Beatrice Sanchez, Isabelle Martinez, Jesse "Big Wes" Guerrero, Lupe Guerrero, Ramona Martin, Virginia "Gina" Serrano, and Pete Guerrero, 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Cheetah in death is a sister, Rosita Guerrero; a brother, Benny "Little Wes" Guerrero, and his parents.
